He knew this was a worst case scenario when he woke up, and one of the first sounds he heard was Morgan's teeth chattering. Not something he wanted to hear, because it meant the girl that he swore to protect was cold. And that wasn't acceptable, not after everything Morgan had gone through.

Chaos groaned, feeling his head pound as he struggled up, shaking off- is that snow? Were they somewhere snowy? It would explain the chattering of teeth, as well as the chill that ran down his spine.

Snow. Cool. He made a face, opening his eyes to judge the surroundings before looking at his body and-

Oh.

Oh, this was new.

His arms were covered in scales, and ended in little claws rather than the hands he was used to. Chaos wracked his brain, trying to think back. On one hand, he was perfectly aware of what he had gotten the two of them into, but on the other hand-

On the other hand this was new, and it wasn't the target world he was after. Whatever world this even was. He looked all over his body, noting all the differences and changes that it had taken with entering this world. It was new.

Chaos would have gotten lost in his thoughts if it wasn't for the teeth chattering to remind him that Morgan was, indeed, here. Somewhere. "Morgalo?"

"H-Here," Morgan replied, something grabbing his arm. Chaos resisted the urge to fling whatever had latched on to him off, glancing down at the clinger only to recognize the soul within the creature.

Oh, oh no. Morgan was small, so small, much smaller than him, and-

"You're going to freeze!" He panicked, watching the tiny thing shiver, prettying closer to his body. The body that he almost tripped over as he scrambled to get moving, forgetting that he was in an entirely different situation than he was used to. "Okay, we have to-"

"You there! Freeze!"

Chaos froze, angling his head behind him at the speaker. What he faced sent a shock of minor fear down his spine, staring at- What was that thing?

It was a large creature that had massive horns, white fur lining their body. Chaos squinted, trying to make out any other details about them, trying to shield the small Morgan from the things sight. "Before you do anything rash-"

"You don't belong here!"

Rude, he almost yelled, but he couldn't complain. After all, he wasn't a native of this world, rather just taking on the appearance of one. He cleared his throat, forcing down the panic he felt in his core. "I mean, you aren't wrong, but look I have a friend-"

"You must be contained with the rest of the Shade-touched!"

Shade touched?

Before he could voice his question, the thing was charging him. Chaos shrieked, scrambling to get out of the way before he was hit. He could hear Morgan scream as well, the small creature losing grip on Chaos's arm.

All Chaos knew was that within the confusion, the large creature had tackled Chaos, Morgan had been flung somewhere in the frozen tundra, and now he was being dragged off by the tail while he scrambled to go find his friend.
