Biography
Born of Ice and Plague, and left forgotten while still learning to use her wings, Ghost had never learned to fly. It made her journey to find her home even more complicated. By the time she staggered through the Shifting Expanse, far from the home she sought, her legs were weary. Lost and alone, she had long since outgrown her hatchling days.
Battered by a storm, she didn't even notice the Skydancers flitting along beside the lightning until they had landed beside her, coaxing her to return to their lair for the night. Relieved, she collapsed, and it was only a few nights later when the clan leader asked her if she would like to stay.
Curiosity got the better of most of the clan residents, with the exception of one Imperial. Arc was kind, but not intrusive, and she found herself drawn to his side. His previous mate had only just departed the clan, and they both shared a sense of loss for their lost loved ones.
One night beneath a torrent of rain, she asked if he would stay with her for the rest of their lives; he smiled sadly and said yes. The next day, she borrowed tatters of fabric from around the clan, dressing herself as prettily as she could on such an occasion. She returned to the place where he had made his promise and waited.
She waited all night into the next morning, but he was nowhere to be found; gone, like the rest of her family.
In a daze, she eventually wandered out of the Expanse, her eyes unfocused; an abandoned child, an abandoned bride, searching for the things she had lost.
Wandering blindly through the Boreal Wood, Ghost was set upon by a pack of winter wolves. Instead of fighting, she bowed her head, folded her wings, and accepted her fate. To her surprise, and to his also, one of the wolves took pity on her, this dragon who was so willing to die. He chased off his brethren, and led her tenderly to the nearest dragon clan, a wandering tribe led by a female tundra. Unthinking, unfeeling, she followed him, and was accepted into the Windrover clan.
Realizing how broken she was, the others treated her gently, offering food and comfort. The wolf, Argus, his mission accomplished, turned to go. Ghost, rousing suddenly, let out a hoarse and mournful cry, the first sound she had uttered in weeks. Argus hesitated, staring outward into the wild, then turned his back on it and returned to settle against the pale dragon's side.
Was equipped with Gossamer Silk Veil and Leg Silks, in addition to White Linen Head, Chest, Arm, and Tail wraps, to give her an appropriate lost bride look. She had a Stonewatch Harpy as a familiar.
