Or even spit out some holy word I have no strength from which to speak When you sit me down, and see I'm weak Mumford & Sons-Not With Haste Morning light glistens over Lumière as a pale figure strolls the temple grounds. His movements are slow and coordinated. Ivory scales emit a soft glow in the light of the sun. With large twisting antlers he brushes petals into the mirror-like water below. Buildings and bridges connect to a large dome, who's ceiling has fallen to be proceeded by a large tree adorned in spheres of light. This cathedral is the heart and soul of Lumiére; here is were the great Babylon wonders -the patriarch of Lumière. Babylon, like the ancient marble architecture, is bright, grand, and in the right light... foreboding. With a calm kingly voice he rules over the clan of Lumiére with strength and compassion. He loves to interact with dragons in his kingdom, they are his family. One of his favourite pastimes is playing with hatchlings who like to watch him do light tricks. He enjoys managing everyday life in the kingdom. Babylon is the foretold son of Lightweaver herself. He posses magnificent light powers beyond any other in the clan. A divine glow seems to emit from this larger than average imperial when touched by the sun. Light, however, always casts a shadow -and from that shadow rose Osiris. The glistening obsidian beast that rules the (name) faction, and the indifferent brother to Babylon. Osiris often challenges his brothers position -mostly for sport- but Babylon cannot help but fear Osiris' thirst for power. Despite this however, Babylon has a strong love for his brother and travels to visit his him often. Babylon -no matter how stoic he acts and no matter how God-like some believe him to be- has his faults, his secrets, and his misgivings. Sometimes in the dead of night Babylon can be seen a top the cathedral, worry gracing his face. No one is sure what he is doing when he is up there. Perhaps he is praying to Lightweaver, or maybe looking for guidance from the stars; all they do know is that seeing him there is something to fear. Occasionally Babylon vanishes for short periods of time without a trace, returning with a bright smile or a new scar. No matter the mystery that surrounds Babylon his clan loves and respects him for the powerful light dragon that he is; believing him a demi-god. |
