Zemblas was an odd one out among his breed. He was a strangely affectionate dragon- which was not going to help him in a clan that primed its members for battle. Matings were carried out based on how much potential their parents had. Zemblas hated the system and the mate that he had been matched with. He knew that his family looked down on him and their only desire was that he produce more offspring that carried more of the Mirror traits. So when the three eggs hatched, Zemblas stole the hatchlings away with him and left the clan.

Of course, his family weren't going to let him go without a fight. They pursued him across two territories. Along the way, Zemblas lost two of the hatchlings, never to see them again. He finally arrived at the Viridian Labyrinth with his youngest and remaining son.
