Children of the Sunsworn Trio are, in a word, devout. It doesn’t matter what cause or deity or godsforsaken beliefs they’ve devoted themselves to, because once they set their mind on something, not even the will of the deities will lead them astray from their chosen path.

Regardless of what thin line they choose to walk, all are equipped with the necessary monster-slaying, righteous-smiting, Shade-hunting skills. Whether or not they put them to good use is another matter entirely-- they can only learn so much from their parents, after all.

Faith is all too often a powerful, corruptive thing.
If there is one thing that Cariphael has learned in all his days as a wandering warrior, it is that power corrupts, and of course, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

But absolute power is never granted at the drop of a hat; there are circumstances leading to the rise of tyrants and traitors. He's not an eloquent dragon-- years of travelling alone with no one else for companionship will do that-- but if you ask what he believes in, he will attempt to explain it in a mixture of gestures and a patchwork of words:

In essence, he travels to far off kingdoms and empires, identifies those who would seek to disturb the peace or turn the power they have been gifted with upon those who granted it in the first place, and kills them.

Sometimes it's a spectacle, sometimes it's a quiet assassination in a back alley.

And sometimes, he doesn't have to lift a claw at all.
