______ Rook didn't find her, she found him. As Rook and Verglas were traveling through the Hewn City they were attacked from the shadows. Verglas instantly fell, gasping as the darkness choked him. Rook snarled as he felt his own energy, real physical energy, as it was ripped from him. He angled his wings and attempted to take flight. A dragon lunged for his throat. In one graceful motion he smiled at her and slashed his knife across her eyes.

______ The other mirror was quick to dodge and remained crouched on the ground, growling and snapping at the Shade dragon. Then he noticed her eyes. "For a dragon with such refined control over shadow and sapping away another's very life, I must say I'm surprised to see a light primal of all creatures-" "Keep talking and you're dead lizard." "But I believe I understand you my new friend." She scoffed, "You've lost your children and been betrayed by your mate for your powers?" "Oh I have been despised and beaten for my eyes and lack of powers. You are familiar with the shadow and others fear you. But we can understand your plight. We can see the real dragon underneath." She hesitates, before relaxing and sitting. She gives him a scoffing glare. "You talk big, let's see you put your talon where your maw is."
