At the outermost reaches of the Tangled Wood, where the territories of the Shadowbinder, the Plaguebringer, and the Tidelord meet, there dwells a Skullk of dragons so enigmatic that their very existence is but a rumor-- a secretive clan comprised of dragons from all over the various territories, bonded together by their shared status as outcasts. This the Dark sanctuary of the Shadowbinder, the Spawn of Shinigami live, work, hunt, and gather, having made their home in the night, beholden to no country and loyal only to only each other. The Shinigami usually keep to themselves, caring for one another and staying out of the squabbles of other clans. They've made their homes deep in the brambles, by the unforgiving tides at the water's edge, and those who have attempted to penetrate their fortifications have returned with only horror stories, if they returned at all. However, should someone stumble into their territory purely by mistake and not immediately be overtaken by the fauna, the denizens of the Spawn have proven surprisingly benevolent. To those who mean no harm and wish not to interfere with their lives, the Shinigami are rather accommodating. And to each other, they are shockingly softhearted and fiercely loyal. They joined together out of fear, their bonds were forged in desperation, but they endure in love and reliability. The outcasts, the freaks, the monsters and wretches-- the Spawn of Shinigami welcome all with open claws and protective wings. And if you find yourself feeling at home among them, you might just become a part of this cursed family.
