Had that feeling always been there? You couldn't really say. All you do know is, you can no longer pass through any stretch of deep woods, without becoming overwhelmed with a staggering amount of fear and dread -almost as if your next step could very well be your last. Yes, you think to yourself, a certain amount of fear had always been with you -more so than others around you- revolving around a particularly large stretch of woods, whose edge encroached upon nearly half of your backyard. You don't live in a very large neighborhood, so it's not abnormal not to see many other teens about, and considering your parents two-story is practically setting on the road, no one would be interested in playing basketball there anyway. It's not that you haven't tried inviting the neighbors' kids over (you have, many times), it is simply that, everyone seems to avoid not only you but the property in general. Almost as if making it their every effort not to stop one foot onto your lawn.
This was the abnormality that was now your everyday life. Since your parents both got high-class jobs working for the state, they were almost never home -save for occasionally around breakfast. It was only you. Home all by your lonesome.
Or so you thought...
How wrong you were. And you would spend your lifetime regretting ever leaving the house that day. Horrified by one solemn truth: you were never truly alone. Something has been watching you. Stalking you. Hunting you. Ever since you had insisted your parents move here. And now that something resided in the woods behind your home; somewhere out there.
Always watching...waiting...always hungry...
