Alyssum

Alyssum is a strange gaoler that often relies on instinct. She is not known for talking much and she loves napping in caves. Due to her Earth based affinity, she does not like water that much, nor can she swim very well. So Alyssum tries to stay far away from water. This aversion to water often causes her fur to become saturated in dust and dirt. The dirt often gets scattered everywhere causing her fellow tribe members to cough and wheeze. Which is why cleaning her fur is on the list of chores. She will sprint away very quickly when she hears the word ‘bath’, so her tribe needs to catch her when she least expects it. When her fur is fully cleaned, she is very soft to the touch.

Due to being a pure quadruped, she has difficulty reaching her back; which is why she has a symbiotic bond with faes. Any bugs that try to climb in her fur gets consumed by the faes, while she protects the faes from harm. Not to mention that she can transport them from place to place on her antlers. They can even sleep in her mane! The only downside is that the opal gene replaces parts of her skin. It forms silver ore-like growths that are sensitive to heat. She hopes to undergo gene therapy to finally be able to feel things.
