Auroranimbic has always been quiet. When she was hatched, she came out quietly. When she was sent off to an apprenticeship at a young age, she went quietly. When she hatched nests of her own, she welcomed her children into the world quietly. When she moved, most recently, into the Tangled Wood, she did so quietly. Silence is necessary in many establishments and communities in the Wood. It served Auro well.

She is getting on in years, no longer a youngster, but her disposition remains unchanged. She found a job cutting and polishing jewels and lengths of precious metals for jewelry and armor. It's a very intricate job and she is hardly the best at it, but Auro is quiet enough and and contemplative enough to put the necessary time in. Gemcutting takes patience.

In her time in the Tangled Wood, Auro didn't move around. She stayed at the Silent Crow Outpost, a grand old manor house that the owners had converted into an inn and outpost. Many of the residents were permanent or near-permanent, although travelers came and went.

Eloise, one of the staff members, brought in oddly regular hauls of semi-precious stones with jewels intermingled, so Auro had enough work to keep her busy. The stones and gems were trimmed, polished and delivered back to Eloise in a timely manner. The Coatl was almost made of jewels herself, small pieces of golden gemstone clinging to her wings. Auro got along with Eloise well enough, but she got along with Cricket much better.

Cricket was a young Wildclaw, barely more than a hatchling. Although she was entirely different colors, genes and species than Auro, Cricket reminded the Skydancer of her own children, grown and taken from her at a young age.

Auro misses Cricket sometimes, but she does that just as quietly as she lives the rest of her life.

Auro eventually decided to retire. She'd visited the Wispwillow Grove once and found it to be beautiful. It's eerie quiet was exactly what she was looking for. So, without saying much to anyone, she simply left. She found a kindred spirit almost immediately in Sabotage. The skydancer was soft, but dark, and Auro found her hidden depths fascinating. Sab told Auro of the clan she was making - out of the ruins of another one. She told Auro about other like-minded dragons, in search for home, in search of stillness and security.

The Grove was thick with fog, masking movements and sometimes even thoughts. Auro fell in love with the darkness of it all. She pledged herself to Sab within just a few days and lost herself to the soft mushroom glow.

In her time spent in the Grove, surrounded by silence and the gentle night air, she found that she was capable of divination.

Slowly, she began to leave the dream that was her life in the Shadow Binder's realm. A part of her longed for adventure. One day, she met a coatl who claimed to have traveled all across the breadth of Sornieth. He told her tales of the lair he hailed from, surrounded by balloons, kites, walkways. He told her it was full of many welcoming dragons, and that if she were to seek adventure and a new life, she should travel home with him to the eclectic lair, and meet it's matriarch, Kelsier.

In the bustling, ever expanding lair in the sky, she has found a purpose again. She sits quietly, and listens. Simply listens to those who need it. She acts as a shoulder on which to cry, and she is content.
