Outlanders are tolerated at the edges of the clan's territory. Most wish to some day gain a place as a true member of the clan, but few will. So they wait. Some bide their time training to serve the Gods. Others court mates from the clan hoping to 'upgrade' to a lair towards its heart. Still others work towards a trade that will make them invaluable to the clan. Some spend less than a day before they move on (by choice or force), while others have more potential and may languish for years. Parentless dragons found while scavenging or in battle are given particular leeway as Outlanders - they have not had the benefit of parenting or a clan's attention, after all. However, some never earn the right to visit the clan's alchemists. They eventually realize they will never find a true home in the clan and eventually leave.

1. Zenobia is among one of the clan's outlanders who has remained at the outskirts for years. Though they have been invited into the Clan proper for their talent as a mechanic, they have remained one of the outlanders, as they prefer the relative quiet.
2. They will literally never shut up about anything that interests them. Mechanics, this cool series of novels they read the other day, Ice magic- you'll leave any prolonged interaction with them significantly more informed, even if you have no use for the information.
3. Beep the Longmech is the first in what has gradually become something akin to a small army of mechanical creatures created by Zenobia. They're very affectionate to the robots, treating them as pets.
4. They're just slightly too tall for the entrance to their lair- just enough that if they're not looking where they're going they can bump into the wall above it. It's a pretty easy fix and they've been meaning to get it done ever since they moved in, but they never got around to it.
5. They've recently developed a peripheral interest in the culinary arts. The, ahem, practice side of things hasn't been going well, but they recently managed to bake their first loaf of bread that wasn't burnt beyond recognition, and they're so proud of themselves
