Carved into the side of the abyss, near where it opens into the rest of the Scarred Wasteland, is the tunnel into the Avivoryss Kingdom. A small ramp is carved into the side as well, leading from the abyss's edge to the tunnel entrance. The tunnel itself has a decline to it when heading to the Kingdom, spiraling downward into darkness besides the little, glowing red crystals stuck into roughly-cut niches in the walls.
It isn't long until the tunnel finally opens up into a grand cavern, the Kingdom stretching out in front and the Kingdom's striking palace towering over it all. Immediately in front of you is a quartz Spiral statue, dressed in various miscellaneous trinkets and scraps one may expect from the Scarred Wastelands, and a pale green moss blanket growing across the statue. Within the statue's claws is a banner, with the history and navigation of the Avivoryss Kingdom written on it.
needs fleshing out but here's the gist
Carminite had a vision for her clan: one that would indiscriminately accept new dragons from all backgrounds and walks of life. One that would show hospitality to the strong and weak, the rich and poor, the lawful and the chaotic equally. One that would hopefully grow to house many members and befriend many allies.
When Carminite found a large abyss in the ground just beyond the Rotrock Rim, she decided that would be the home of her clan, despite how unusual of a spot it was. Eventually (and unexpectedly) joined by the guardian Tangorn, the two started digging out a series of caverns to house themselves and the others who would join them over time. Slowly, the series of caverns evolved into an elaborate network of tunnels and rooms of varying sizes, and later, into a vast kingdom hidden under the Wasteland surface.
Now, Carminite and the clan members dwell peacefully within the Avivoryss Kingdom, sending warriors above to search for food and rescue dragons who have become lost in the Abiding Boneyard. However, the depths of the abyss they chose to carve into have begun stirring, the hidden horrors awakening from their slumber. Now, it is only a matter of time before the kingdom meets these abyss-dwellers, and the kingdom hopes to find them before they find the kingdom.

The Palace In the back of the grand cavern the Kingdom resides in is a gleaming palace, carved from black and white stones and towering over the surrounding buildings. Cut glowing red gems dot the sides of the palace and top the many towers. Within is a vast labyrinth of rooms connected by halls, each with a unique purpose. Here, the royalty, representatives, and nobility reside. |
