Merlin was born as a water dragon but having a fateful encounter with an enchanted fish he soon became accustom to living on land. Amazed by this creature he studied magic and soon came to learn about rune magic. When he was old enough to leave the next he took off to study them. As he rested in a tavern one evening he bumped into Orion who was reading the stars to tell other dragons their fortune. The two struck up conversation and soon found out they were both passionate with the arcane arts and decided to travel together. A few months later they came across an old magical ruin with an intense magic flow.
They were not the only two to arrive there however and Mystic shortly joined their group. They all teamed up and found the source, but sadly something else was also tracking it. The Darkness! Before they could finish their notes the Darkness went for them. The three fled into the enchanted forest and came across the Grand tree. Protected by the trees magic the Darkness fled, and the three dragons all settled down together in it.

The Mystical Trio
Mystic, Orion and Merlin all had a common interest. They loved magic, all were very knowledgeable in it and studied it. Since the Grandtree had an unlimited source of it they all decided to make their homes there and also start up a little coven inside it. Using the trees magic for their own studies and to help the other dragons. They all soon came to be known as the 'Mystical Trio' if a dragon needed aid of some sort it was usually mystic that would seek out and help them.
Merlin studies rune magic which is used to aid dragons in combat and defend the forest. He can also read runes to see into the near future and predict what could happen. Giving the dragons of the tree plenty of time to prepare for any trouble.
