Biography
When nature and plague decide to have a war by going right through the domain of the shadowbinder, strange thing should be expected. Eirian is one of those strange things. With the three domains confused and overlapping at the time of her hatching, parents could only guess which of the three deities would have time to claim their hatchlings. They did not however guess that it could be more than one.
Eirian was claimed by the Gladekeeper and the Plaguebringer simultaniously and was almost torn apart by these opposing forces. It is impossible to unclaim a dragon so a war would have to be waged within the tiny dragon already surrounded by it. This internal war was as equally weighted as the one outside with neither deity making headway but only destroying Eirian's mind. In her first few days of life she had only two eyes, one red, one green. And when the two battled and their colours mixed her eyes would go dark as a shadow dragons eyes.
The Shadowbinder used one of these episodes as an opportunity to claim the hatchling as well, somewhat calming the imbalance within her. The Gladekeeper and Shadowbinder could no longer tear Eirian apart even if just accidently as that would be an act of war on the Shadowbinder. Neither could afford to give the Shadowbinder, whom had been rather patiently peaceful, a reason to join their opponent's side. The Shadowbinder used Eirian to force the other deities into a peace treaty and thus ended their war by keeping a single hatchling alive.
Due to the stormy nature of the hatchlings beginnings, even the Stormcatcher had gotten in on the action, causing her eyes, accidently he says, to always glow with the tempest she had to endure at the beginning of her life. To prevent more fighting, he attempted to change her eyes to something resembling green as the only colour he could accomplish out of the three. With this peace, Eirian's body worked to accept all three (and a half?) deities, sprouting extra eyes, wings, fur and tentacles to cope. Her original green colour was darkened by her shadow traits bleeding through. The Gladekeeper claimed her colouring and the right to keep Eirian in her domain after lines were drawn between the borders. The Plaguebringer, befitting of her tastes, claimed all the extra eyes scattered throughout her body and gave her "gifts" of healing in the form of red apparel that could not be removed. As the one who saved Eirian and held her mind together, the Shadowbinder claimed the right to mark Eirian with her shadow sigil, making her a shadow embassy in the domain of nature... with a few extra bits and pieces
