Biography

Story wrote:
It was a glorious night in the Crystal Pools. Various clans had logged how often they found pieces of Magical Shards across the regions before determining the best location to search. RisingsunGuard chose the best three for the job, knowing how swift they could be in various regions.

LightShock was a powerful Tundra who's inner strength had aligned with the Stormcatcher. She was one to make strong strikes, but also used a fair amount of logic in how tactics. Next to her was the old Oracle known as Claywind. They had obtained him from another clan, and were happy about that; His visions had helped in various situations. The last one present was known as Redmoon, named because of the strange thing that the moon would do from time to time in going from a wonderful Maize to a color that made it seem like it was injured for a short time. The three of them held the greatest strength in terms of tooth and claws. They could take on virtually anything.

That's what they thought most of the time at least. After a long day and night LightShock declared that it was best that they head home. They had taken quite a few strong blows and were essentially running purely on determination. Redmoon, however, felt they had enough strength for one more battle...something all three of them wish they hadn't done.

An Arctic Hippalectryon, a Chalcedony Snipper, a Sparkling Stinger and an Amber Gulper stared them down with determination in their eyes. Doing things normally would only yield someone getting knocked unconscious, they had been dealt that card before. There were very few things that were effective against a group like this, especially the Gulper. Such a foe could take one of their most powerful strikes and still remain standing.

"You just HAD to insist we stay," LightShock said, keeping her drooping wings against her as best she could, "Look where we are now."

"It's not my fault we stumbled-" Redmoon started, before realizing their foes were poised to strike them. They needed a swift win.

"Thoughts?"

"Simple. We're going with plan C," There was an aura that surrounded Redmoon twice, granting some of his strength to his two comrades.

"You've gone-" Claywind started, before LightShock interrupted him.

"Just GO with it!"

Claywind frowned, but nodded before looking at the for of them and calling upon his inner strength. He leapt into the air, the nails of his claws extended, before making a powerful blow at both the Stinger and Gulper. Mach to the other Tundra's relief the move proved to be successful.

"My turn," LightShock growled.

The Lightning Tundra glared at the Hippalectryon and Snipper and used the same strategy as Claywind. She wasn't sure it was a blessing or simple luck, but both fell beneach her claws. They had won.

"We're out of here, Redmoon," LightShock growled, carrying what she could, "This is the last time we take your advice."

"Fair enough."

"Um...could...the both of you...stop for a second?"

Both Tundras glanced over as they saw Claywind taking a closer look at the Snipper's body. LightShock rolled her eyes.

"What could be so important that we should stop our leave, Claywind?"

"This..."

The blue and white Tundra lifted the tail up and over to one side. It was then that something unusual caught both of their attention. Something they had only seen a few times in the lair up close.

"Deities above," LightShock whispered, "Is..that...really...?"

Redmoon slowly made his way over to Claywind's side and hovered his claw over it. Two pink rings surrounded the violet colored object, while a strange energy seem to flow from it. It spoke of power in its own way; a way that very few could understand. The three carefully surrounded it, making their observation.

"It..can it really be..." LightShock could only stare at what was before her.

"Egg," Claywind whispered, looking at his comrades with a smile.

"Arcane. That's amazing."

Redmoon carefully picked up the egg in front of them before holding it close to his chest. He didn't care how it felt against him...or even that he had to walk on his hind legs. What mattered were the words that he whispered as the team proceeded back to their home, something that caught Claywind and LightShock off guard.

"You are safe, little one, you are safe. No harm will come to you, you are safe."

"You WHAT!?"

The three tundras gazed at the Patriarch - RisingsunGuard - as he took a careful look at what had been brought back. They had said that they had found something substantial, but didn't say what it was. The dark scaled Lightning imperial expected to see something like apparel or familiars that they had yet to befriend. What Redmoon presented, however...

"...You say it was among their bodies?" He turned his gaze to Claywind, "And it somehow caught your attention?"

"Indeed," Claywind responded, giving a slight bow, "When I saw something unusual among them I felt the need to investigate. When I got closer and the power began to rub against me I asked Redmoon and LightShock to assist. We felt it best to get it out of their possession."

RisingsunGuard waved his claw over the egg. The pulse of Arcane power was unmistakable. Only a few times had they hatched an egg that held the powers of the Arcanist. Each time they had done so, however, it revealed a stunning young dragon within that helped make the clan even better.

Could fate intentionally be repeating itself? he thought to himself, Could we be missing something important at this very moment that would determine our survival?

"DarkIce...what say you?"

The four watched as a dark colored Arcane Fae, carrying multiple objects aligned with the power of his element, flew over and took a look at what was before everyone.

"This young dragon has been without a home for an unknown amount of time. It is only fair that we grant it entry into the world. It will not be with the family that created it, but it will still be loved by all of us."

As if it heard the Fae's response, the shell began to split and the rings vanished. All watched as one side finally gave way to reveal a dragon that simply brought a smile to everyone's face.

A small Fae cried out and was instantly hugged by DarkIceKnowledge. Its body showed colors of blue skies and colorful peaches, something that the clan would want to have on a peaceful day. It took a few minutes, but the hatchling - determined male by DarkIce - slowly opened its eyes and gazed around at the world for the very first time.

"It appears that the strange power that flows through the world has touched him," LightShock said, "I haven't seen eyes like that before."

"Doesn't mean it is not possible," Radmoon said, giving another careful look at the newest addition as the little one gave out another cry.

"Peace, Spellwing, peace," RisingsunGuard whispered, "Your meal is on its way."

The four dragons could only stare in disbelief. Normally a few days were allowed to grant everyone the chance to get a feel for the personality and power that flowed through a young dragon, and even then there were a few names floating around. It was usually a week or two before one of those was ultimately chosen. The Patriarch choosing a hatchling's name at birth was incredibly rare.

"Does he see some sort of power in him?" Claywind whispered looking over at Redmoon and LightShock.

"That's the only reason I can come up with," LightShock said, "He may have potential, but we will have to wait until he comes of age and is ready to conduct training."

The two looked over to see Redmoon keeping his gaze upon the young hatchling. They stared in confusion until he laid down on his stomach and looked at the Fae...who climbed into the mane on his neck. It was then that they realized why they were being ignored: The Tundra had a connection with their newest addition, proven as he spoke to the one who was now playing on him.

"You are safe, little one, you are safe. No harm will come to you, you are safe."
