______ I have one thing to do and that's be the wave that I am and then sink back into the ocean.


NAMESAKE
______ The name of one of the Pleiades. (pronounced "al-SEE-eh-nee" or "al-SIY-eh-nee" I think) There's a Greek love story about Alcyone and her husband Ceyx. They were very much in love. One day, Ceyx went out to sea and never came back. Wild in her grief, Alcyone threw herself into the sea. But the gods had compassion, and brought the two back to life in the form of immortal halcyon birds. This is why most sources list this name's meaning as "kingfisher."
