Biography
"Robots don't sing as well as birds, Spiral."
Have you ever heard a Nightingale's song? They sing with the sounds of the Gladekeeper in their voice. Stories of kings moved by the soft sound of their song. Nightingale knew the stories of the birds by their name, Nightingale was content singing for anyone who asked. Nightingale lives up to their name at times, silent often during the day unless asked to sing, and in the night the denizens of Clovergate drift away to the song of the rouge. A daredevil, a singer, a rogue, a lover, Nightingale is everything that they need to be for their Hydrangea.
You know kid, they're gonna try and break you.
They asked you "What's your name?" and every single time you said, "I don't know." Do you know how mad that made them? That you didn't know your own name?
They screamed and shouted that you were made, built, created, to know your name. They asked you again, and you said: "I don't know." They started screaming your name at you. Numbers you've long forgotten.
They asked you one last time, "What're your name?" you knew you would get hurt badly if you didn't answer. And still, you looked those fancy engineers with their eyes of cyan and said: "My name is Nightingale."
Oh, they heard their screams from the Starfall Isles, you got hurt badly alright. But they got hurt worst, their biggest experiment, wasted, gaining a mind of its own.
They tried to break you, kid, you know why? Because if they didn't break you to control you well...
You would control them.
