Michi Bright Strong Snappy Proud

With a snappy mouth and witty retorts, Michi enjoys a good argument. She loves her job and creating colorful and beautiful objects for her clan to sell and hang up. She overflows with pride whenever they come back, giving her the compliments of the dragons who buy her wares. Yet she strived to see more of the world, to give her craft of blacksmithing to others. To teach. And to do that, she must leave her clan. Time to hit the road.

It is time to go. I have packed much gear and said farewell to my loved ones. I will one day return, perhaps. I leave everything I know behind to share my craft with the world. I do hope I can bring the love of Blacksmithing back to the realm.

hyddenchyld - Sunbeam Ruins
Today, while traveling through the Sunbeam Ruins, I came across a Nocturne that was fiddling with his chest guard, which appeared to be damaged. As soon as he saw me approach, he took a defensive stance, but I spoke calmly with him and asked if something was the matter. Reluctantly he told me that his armor had been damaged in a skirmish with some Beastclan creatures and he was trying to repair it before flying home. We spoke for a bit about the troublesome Beastclans and how it was difficult to defend your lair when they were active. Throughout our discussions I could see him begin to relax and speak more openly.

I spoke about my own reasons for journeying, in wanting to show off my skills. He said his name is Glint and that his clan's usual blacksmith had gone to help an allied clan. That was part of the reason he was so upset to have damaged his armor. I offered to help repair his chest guard if he could provide a workspace and any tools I didn't bring with me. After a moment's pause, he agreed to take me back with him.

After the other lair guards had interviewed me on my business and allowed entry, Glint showed me to their blacksmith's workshop. It was well-furnished and had what I needed. I set about working on repairing the chest guard, all the while Glint watching me with curious eyes. He was very observant and asked reasonable questions about what I was doing, trying to understand the reasons why. I enjoyed answering his questions, for I could tell that he appreciated my skill. That's all I really want, after all. To be appreciated for my talents and for others to recognize the beauty of crafting.

Following my work, I made him try on the guard so that I could make any needed adjustments. He was pleased by how well the armor fit and how you wouldn't even be able to tell that it had been damaged at all. Of course not, my work is flawless. A Skydancer came into the workshop, looking for Glint. It was his mate, Glow, who was happy to see his lifepartner unharmed. He also complimented me on my incredible craftsmanship. Glow made arrangements for me to rest with the clan that evening and I ended up staying with them for a few days until their own blacksmith had returned. Their smith was also grateful that I had helped with repairs and artistry in his absence. Before I left later that week, we discussed some of the finer details of forging and metalwork.

Although I didn't find many dragons that were blacksmiths, I did find Kintsugi, a potter. I suppose we have something in common in the way of creation.

Kintsugi and I became friends, and afterwards I decided to continue my journey.

XiangEr - Penumbra, Tangled Wood
Trickmurk Circus is upon us! The town is abuzz with activity with the central tents raised up high for all manner of performance. An elevated path leads Michi over the wetlands, towards the outskirts. Far in the distance, music and bright lanterns dot the landscape guiding visitors towards the promenade - known as Penumbra. The Town's entertainment district where the best circus and performance gathers for their annual show.

Lemmonnade - The Gladeveins
The intricate pathways of water in this quiet part of the forest is like nothing I've seen before! This clan is, well, smaller than I'm used to, but seems extremely familial. The dragons here are- put nicely- simple. They've never even imagined the craft of smithery, with bare dens and bodies. There was a single fighter in the clan who spoke about the time he found a small armored set of sleeves in the overgrowth, but he didn't know that someone had to make them. I believe i could make a strong impact on their way of life, if they want to give me a chance.
