You pass a poor dragon leaving with a rock between their paws, and walk up to the Snapper. "I am sorry, chum, pal, buddy, friend! All sales are final! If you didn't get something you want, too bad, mate! Flew right by ya, above ya head, son! Ya need to watch out for the sweet deals, ya snooze ya lose, that's life for ya!", she shouted, putting some pieces of various treasure in one of her pockets. You reassure her you are not here to complain. Her eyes light up behind her goggles. "Oh, my apologies, good chum! May I interest you in some wares we just, just acquired? Brand new, limited edition, special one time only items! Haven't even made it to the marketplace yet!", she shouts, a little mecanical shelf displaying various worthless items appearing from one of her pockets. You can tell she is skilled for business. You actually even believe those items are actually valuable. Maybe they are! Her peppy personality reassures you. She looks like a dragon you can surely trust! However, you don't have any treasure on you right now... She looks at you from paws to head. "Mmm, you don't seem to have anything valuable... No trouble, I'll give you one of my most precious items for the great price OF RAIN if you help me carry some stuff!", she says, pointing with her tail to some boxes. On the way back, she tells you a lot about her business. It all started when she went to sell something to the auction house. It was supposed to stay there for 7 days, but she was getting tired, and she started trying to bring out all the qualities in said item to the dragons present. It was sold right away! From there, she was always sent to sell and buy stuff. Her goggles- with heat vision- help her check what is valuable and what is not. Her vest has various devices with various pockets, her gloves and spats help her muscles, and her hat is just fancy. She eventually learned new tricks and ways to make more money by watching other dragons, but it's nothing personal- we all need treasure for our daily needs, right? When you finally get there, she tosses you a fancy looking rock as you put the crates down. You walk away, and you check the rock. It's just an ordinary pebble, from the dephts of the Sea of A Thousand Currents. You glare back at the Snapper, now far away. "Nothing personal, son!", she shouts. |
