Alaion has never shared much about his past, he believes it's bad to dwell on past events and is always the one to encourage others to move forwards with their lives. However, when it comes to how he found the Annex, it's like a storyteller sharing a hatchling's favourite nursury tale, it's was one of his greatest discoveries he would always claim.

Alaion had stumbled upon the Annex, having heard rumours of a supposedly abandoned library and by his natural curious personality, he went to investigate, but what he found was in fact a very lively, busy little library which called itself the Sundial Annex. He stayed for a little while, reading a few of the books which were rare to find, there he met Thalah, a headstrong, yet kind young librarian apprentice. Despite being mates later in their lives, the pair actually didn't get along at first meeting. Alaion had a bad habit of dragging out books and never putting them back and as an apprentice, it was Thalah's responsibility to put them all back. At one point, she got so angry at Alaion, she raised her voice at him. In which got her in trouble with the head librarian, but Alaion got asked as well to be a bit more respectful when handling the books. In which he agreed and explained that after a while, the habit had actually become more on purpose to tease the young librarian in training.
