History Withdrawn and quiet are some ways other dragons view Zelena. And, at first glance they appear to be true. But at heart, Zelana is wild and reckless, an explorer who loves adventure and mischief. Although appearing quiet to those who have just met her, she is quick to open up and show everyone just how much she enjoys life. When she was just a hatchling, she wandered out of her nest, and after sneaking around her clan's sentries she wandered out to into the forest that her clan resided in. After a bit of walking, she came upon clearing and hearing laughter and shrieks emanating from inside, she crept closer. Zelena peered into the clearing and what she saw inside, changed the way she saw life. Inside the sunny clearing, was hatchlings, not older than herself, playing among the trees, swooping through the vines and splashing in the stream that flowed through the clearing. The hatchlings were having fun and playing, a stark contrast to her nursery where the hatchlings were required to stay still and quiet. She had never seen hatchlings act in such a way and certainly not adults dragons. She wanted to have fun too. So while she still abided to her strict hatchery's rules, she would sneak out every evening to play with the other hatchlings. When Zelena came of age, she left her home clan to explore, and eagerly looked to finding new places. - - - - - Zelena laughed, a shrill sound, that was quickly swept away by the strong wind that howled along the cliff edge. She flexed her wings and looked over the cliff face, into the whirling crescendo, the legendary storm of the Wind Flight. She grinned, eyes casting back over her previous home. The wind clan had suited her well at the time, but now she was craving something new. It was time to move on. Claws digging into the rough sleet, she bunched up her legs beneath her and prepared to fly into the crescendo. Gathering herself, she lept off the cliff and into the screaming winds. Zelena laughed in joy, as she was swept up, and carried off, away from her old home. Eyes wide in excitement, she looked forward, excited to see where the winds would take her. |
