Where the ground pulses and the world is never quiet, she longs back to the bare, simpler terrain of The Southern Icefields. Where you either make it or you don't. There is no in-between, no resting in a passive existence. No aimless wanderings for a purpose.
There are many of those who think the ice is frail and easily breakable, but they forget that ice forges mountains, holds captive the land by sheer force of will, and is protected by a fierce warden of the frozen prisons.
For all of those who speak of the adaptability of the wandering plagues, they know nothing of the ruthless winters that hold on for longer than a virus takes to wipe a population.

In wispy visions of powder snow, she sees the clan parading through the ice. Not those to give in or give up, they strongly walk on until they reach their destination.
At the peak of their travels, at the point where they're sure to fall from exhaustion, the ground opens up for them, and the things within are bright enough to bring her out of her visions. The wonders within unseen, but very vividly there, holding promise.
She knows what she has to do.
All she can hope for is that they might listen.
