Cinquefoil had had her powers for as long as she could remember, though she’d never known why. She had theories, though. Little ideas, which she flitted between and threw aside whenever a new one caught her fancy. That she was an heir to a great druid, who still sat in wait for her all this time. That on the night of her hatching, she’d been stolen from her nest by dryads and brought into their circle under the moonlight. That she’d been touched by the Gladekeeper herself, and it was only a matter of time before a coven of priests tracked her down and took her into their fold. That, perhaps, she was just lucky.

Whatever the reason, her magic manifested all the same. And it manifested often, even unintentionally. Especially unintentionally. Almost entirely unintentionally. Plantlife reacted strangely to her presence- sometimes growing and dying with an accelerated pace, sometimes blooming with flowers or fruits that weren’t their own, occasionally… whispering?

Despite their undisciplined nature, Cinquefoil’s powers proved as useful as they were whimsical- especially for a dragon in her line of work- guideship. Druidic abilities weren’t unheard of within the lush maze of the Viridian Labyrinth, and many of the more devout clans prided themselves on their many nature mages. They were, however, much less common so far into the swamp. Navigating the harsh woodland was difficult at the best of times, even for nature-hatched dragons, and Cinquefoil’s unique skill set left her invaluable. Unfortunately, this meant that for all the dragons she'd led across the border, Cinquefoil had met few other druids, and had no mentor to speak of. Not that she wasn’t learning! Failure, she’d found, made a wonderful teacher.
