She watched as her home shifted and changed to follow the Shadowmother's wings of Darkness. She watched as her darkened home was shifted and distorted to fit her wicked Uncle's twisted desires of the newly rebranded Blood Hunters. She saw things no young dragon should from one considered family. And yet, she did.

Shroud never knew what the was capable of before it was her turn to take a chance at the Necromatic Trials. She never knew the damage and healing she could cause with her talons alone until she returned to her still reforming home on the final day of the Trials. She never knew how easily she could shape her future into what she truly wanted: Peace.

It isn't that she hated her Uncle, quite the opposite really. She hated what he believed in, she hated his motives, she hated the path he so rightfully took from the start. She hated how much it changed him, she wishes for a different world, one where everything is normal, where his fate was different. Where he never went down the fate of cruelty.

And when Elune was born, all of Shroud's faith in her Uncle were, at the very least, partially restored. He treasured her like she was the only thing in the world to brighten his darkened heart. She was alright with that, honestly. She didn't mind that her Aunt, his daughter, was top priority. She'd do the same to any of her children, if they were to return or even survive.
