Ogiosmou, or Ogi, is an odd case, even in the Shorn Bramble. Joseph stole his egg from its nest, bringing it back to Melusin and Selvenite to look after while he looked for another 'ingredient' to their newest idea. A shade-touched egg had been whispered of for many, many years through all the flights and Joseph intended on creating one for himself. After locating an area he found sufficient for infusing (dropping and leaving) the egg he did just that, coming back each day to check on it with the pair of Imperials. After a longer than normal incubation time the three assumed the egg may have died, though it still weakly crackled and zapped in its ichorous 'nest'. Eventually the small Imperial hatched, the sludge clinging to his wings and face, preventing his vision from being used. The trio gawked at him, confusing the poor child to a point of distress, claws digging into his face in an attempt to get the ooze from his flesh. Selvenite seeing this picked him up as carefully as she could, wrapping him in the thorns around her to carry him back without touching. Upon arrival back in the bramble the three set about giving the fussy hatchling a bath; he thrashed the whole time, the soap stinging the claw marks he had left on his face. Once freed from the horrid water he met Dimourgia, the two- Well, four, slowly bonding and becoming best friends. |
