Despite his imposing stature, Melchior is a rather unassuming presence. Pleasant and friendly, he's quick with a cup of tea and quicker still with a story. He's known among residents of the clan for his insightfulness, and for having the uncanny ability to guess how you take your tea. His stories range from benign to downright unbelievable, but there's something about him that makes it hard to believe he'd lie.
He started the clan along with his mate Maeve, the two dragons leaving their previous lives behind to start a family. Word among clan members is that he used to be an archivist somewhere, but despite how open he is with others, his past remains largely a mystery, even to his children.
Although the rumour of his time as an archivist is only encouraged by the fact that Melchior seems to possess an eidetic memory. If you tell him a secret, he'll never forget it— luckily for most who tell him secrets, he's also a top-notch secret keeper.
