Biography
Affiliation: Enigmatics
Description: Viscum was born to two Seeker gaolers- dedicated to fighting and containing The Shade. Unfortunately, one of the beasts which they battled managed to curse the duo- spreading its vile darkness into their bodies and hearts. Initially, Viscum’s parents did not know the nature of their curse, but after their first clutch they realized with horror that the magic which bound them had manifested itself in their children, in the form of dark, parasitic flowers.
These flowers drained the life, spirit, and willpower of their children- leaving them emotionless, empty husks of dragons- bound to the will of the shade.
Viscum was one of the lucky children, he was born somewhat resistant to the flower’s magic- but they have undoubtedly taken a toll on him as he has grown older. Desperate, and his will weakening each day, Viscum joined the Enigmatics to see if he could find a cure for his condition, or at least receive the treatment he needs to fight off their draining properties. While he has yet to find a full cure, the mages in the clan have managed to help slow his condition, they predict he has several more years before his spirit is fully drained.
Because of his condition, Viscum fears growing close to other dragons, or of falling in love. He understands that if he cannot he cured, his condition would only spread to his children and the vicious cycle would continue. Once he loses his will, he will only hurt those he loves. So why love at all?
If only it were that easy.
