Biography
Xengalneon was once the only deity that the often-warring, always-disagreeing Yadra tribes of Rasenga universally revered. Although true and understood that the land their people settled upon was more his physical body than any forms he took, the Yadra named him the 'God of the Hunt' even knowing it was not at all literal. Rather it was a title meant to convey their timeless respect for him which remained as strong through their many generations without his voice as it had when he could answer any call he wished. Crowned with horns and kissed with markings the same as those found on moluska stags and with feathered wings resembling many of the avians indigenous to Rasenga, the Yadra see those creatures as his children but also as his gift to them for they have long been nearly the only sustenance available to their people. They have always known as though a knowledge in their blood itself that should they not continue to honor the lives they take for food and the Dragon they have to thank for them that their harsh and inhospitable home in the plains will reject them for their arrogance and they will find their end.
Since the Great Exodus, the Yadra are much more concerned with the return of Xengalneon and his voice to them than that this is the second time their people have been forced to flee their homeland. Where he is is home to them.
Xengalneon himself has assigned himself the duty of being vigilant of this foreign land, his newly-changed body making that seem as an impossibly difficult task with his sight and senses now not spanning an entire ecosystem. Though many of the clan's warriors keep tireless watch both inside and outside of their cavernous refuge, Leriasanth, Xengalneon and Lesaath, needing no rest and being minimally hindered by the environment have taken point in diligently scouting for encroaching threats and potential resources.
[Trivia: Xengalneon is one of the few deities known by a name not ending in 'th' (and not known to be using a nickname). As with the other cases, Vormarang the most notable, his true name does end in -th but was modified by misinterpretation and the deities in question never bothered to correct the error, adopting it instead. Xengalneon is therefore Xengalneoth originally and Vormarang, Vormaranth.]
