A dreary haze engulfs him as he thrashes in his sleep. Distant voices swirl about, writhing in confusion and concern.

“He’s entered deep-sleep now,” said one. “His trial will begin when

“We cannot follow him,” A softer voice added. The warm hug of a blanket surrounded him, followed by his head resting on a pillow. The ringing of small bells peppered the room with calmness. On the chime of the last ring, the trial began.

RoseHarp panicked, he was plummeting. His weightless frame ripped through swirls of pink and green clouds. His wings seemed reluctant to help him at all, bound by an unseen force as the tiny fae continued to fall. He could hardly concentrate, let alone remember why he was here. Ripping through air and cloud cover, his eardrums burst, sending RoseHarp into distress.

“What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I fly?” Tears clung to his voice, his wind eyes desperately searching for his own resolve. “None of this can be right, STOP!”

Summoned by what could only be fate, the hysteria ended. RoseHarp looked around in amazement as clouds surrounded him; he was hovering in the air. A sigh escaped his maw as he closed his eyes again, allowing his body to regain control again. Once in control, RoseHarp flapped his wings, resuming normal flight as he finally processed where he was. “Another dream?Not again. I'll need to weave this one and sew it back in place.”
