Arthur and his twin brother Maxwell are the twin sons of two of Home's most well-respected leaders, Baruch and Rysio. The older twin, Arthur (or, as he is more commonly known around Home, Artie) is very much his parents' son, looking almost exactly like Roscoe and inheriting Baruch's Dark Sclera heritage. Though both Artie and Maxie exhibit the characteristic traits of Dark Sclera dragons, the Peacock-like markings along Artie's wings mark him as a dragon with strong Dark Sclera heritage. Both twins display magic that doesn't necessarily align with known elements, but Artie's has always been stronger and more reliable. As he grew and was learning more magic, Artie chose to specialize in Light magic, which he took to naturally.

Serious and soft-spoken, with a grandiose sense of purpose and a subtle sense of humour, Artie often seems more like his parents than Maxie does. As he got older, he took to the study of sciences, and is quickly establishing himself as a gifted biochemist. Despite his introverted personality, he loves teaching, and is often one of the first dragons to volunteer to teach the basics of chemistry to Home's new arrivals. Artie can be very high-strung and uptight, and he tends to snap when he's nervous. He's very prone to dramatics, and it's been said of him that he has an inferiority complex and a superiority complex at the same time. The only time he truly relaxes is when he's playing the music his parents taught him, though he seldom makes time for relaxing. Curious despite himself, he can often be found exploring ruins and treasure-hunting with his brother, their best friends Addy and Rhys, and their Uncle Gatsby. Always having been the more academically driven and magically gifted twin, he can look down on his brother and tends to think he's "the good twin," and he has trouble admitting he relies on his brother more than anyone else. He tends to assume and take things a bit too seriously for his own good. However, he's also an extremely perceptive and gifted young dragon who's already making great strides - he just needs to learn to relax every now and again.

Behind the Name...

Arthur is an English name meaning noble or courageous - traits which Artie would likely be very slow to ascribe to himself.
