Viper

As Red and her traveling party returned to the den Stargazer had scoped out, another Spiral dragon approached from the other direction.

"Red, is that you?"

She landed awkwardly on the sand, her long body and tail coiling like a spring before she managed to stand up normally.

"Viper?"

"Yes! Wow, I've been flying for ages, my wings are so tired I think I might pass out right here."
She lowered her head to the sand, her body collapsing to the ground.

"How did you find me?" asked Red.

"I saw where you went," replied Viper without moving. "Been trying to catch up for a while now, saw you had met some friends and started a clan, figured I might be able to help you with your little quest if I could j..."

She droned off, a soft snore cutting the conversation off mid-sentence.

"You know her?" Duran asked.

"She's an old friend," Red said softly. "Almost like a younger sibling in a way..." She gently lifted the front half of Viper's body from the ground and began to drag her into the opening of their den.

"Why'd she come the whole way out here?" asked Rio. "You think she had a vision?"

"I'm sure she'll tell us when she wakes up," said Red. "She always has a lot to say."

The dragons entered their den to rest.
