Nobody thought I had any potential. Their voices were
loud - a constant ringing, buzzing, droning, that all I'd
ever be good for was to serve our deities, thrown away
carelessly like a discarded toy to be played with. It was
my supposed destiny; my fate to join the others before
me, sacrificed to some unknowable "higher cause."

At first, I was terrified, not knowing what this would
mean for my life - would I cease to be myself, once
given over to such a destructive force? Countless wars
waged in their names; they were not divine, merely
entities of mass violence and chaos. I did not trust
that their intentions were anything but ill.

But now... I see the truth. I'm shackled to none - my
freedom won, liberated from whatever preset story
that had been set out for my life. I've been reborn.
I've ascended to greater heights than I could've ever
achieved as a simple mortal. I am a step ahead of the
rest, now - but I refuse to abuse my given powers.

I will change the system for the better, you'll see.
There's nothing to fear; the future will be revolutionary!
