Scratches, chargeholder of Amberose. A guardian who recognized Amberose as his charge the moment he saw the pearlcatcher. The meeting was in no way notable, and Amberose holds few opinions on the guardian tagging along, so long as he does not interfere with his work. Having a large, battle-scarred, unconditional protector is quite useful. There are only signs of good fortune in the oil that pours from his eyes.
