Biography
Wailshroud is a bit of a loner; despite being a Guardian, he spent a long time wandering the wilderness on his own, never quite settling on a clan.
This changed quite abruptly when Halcyon of the Zephyr Steppes found him. Halcyon, having recently left her old roost to claim a territory of her own, was surveying her new lands when she came across this brooding cobalt Guardian calmly drinking from a brook.
Wailshroud quickly realized that the little Fae dragon was relentless; she splashed happily down next to his big muzzle, spattering water all over his face, as she announced herself and of course, asked what he was up to. Annoyed at first, he attempted to slink away into the forest. Halcyon took it as a fun game, and started zipping through the foliage, twirling and gyrating, and producing a warbling whistle as she did so.
"WHAT do you WANT?" Wailshroud finally growled plaintively.
The Fae dragon flipped around in a happy somersault, perched between the horns on his head, and seemingly oblivious, dipped her neck down to look him (upside-down) in the eyes. "Fun," she chirped, tail curling happily. "New cave nearby, you need food. Friends now, yes?" "No." "Yes!" "No!" "Yes?" "NO!"
To make a long story - and chase - short, Halcyon managed to win him over, but not until he had been followed, poked, flown around, and otherwise harried across nearly the entirety of the Steppes.
Wailshroud has kept his intimidating composure in the face of potential threats, but has since become quite fond of the diminutive aquamarine Fey, and they are rarely seen apart. As Halcyon frequently praises the strength and size of her unusual companion, he sees himself as her ardent protector, and allows no harm to befall her Clan.
