Traveler's Runestone Pulsating Pendant Nocturne Puppet
Part I
Fire, wild and untamed, raged throughout the village, lighting up the smoke-darkened sky. Despite the attempts of many water dragons, the fire could not be contained, unfazed by their attempts; buildings continued to collapse and it ravaged the structures, even those made of the toughest available materials. The crackling of burning wood and crashing of buildings as they fell to the ground could be heard. Thick smoke rose above the flame and clouded the area, infecting lungs and receiving harsh, pained coughs in return. Even those with the best eyesight could only see fifteen clear feet in front of them. Countless tried to escape, only for them to get distracted or detoured; whether it be something falling in front of them or on top of them. Not all dragons were able to fly from the fire; it was only those who's lungs were strong enough to handle the smoke could fly away. The others who tried wobbled or fell mid-air from smoke inhalation.
Amidst the chaos, stood a young female Skydancer, no older than a hatchling. A dragon of the Fire element, the fire raging before her and around her had barely any effects. She gazed out at the chaos unfolding in front of her, amazed and bewildered at the destructive tendencies...and power of the fire, her bright orange eyes wide as moons. Never had she thought that fire could be quite this powerful; she hadn't seen anything quite like it, not until now. Despite the damaging effects, she wondered: one day, could she also be that powerful?
She was taken out of the trance-like state by a tapping on her shoulder. Just then, as she was looking over her shoulder, her senses returned to her, hitting her like a wave; it was overwhelming at first, but it quickly faded as she got used to it. Standing behind her was a massive, purple Guardian female, with shiny and metallic scales. Light blue runes ran down from her cheekbones and all the way down to her tail in a neat and orderly fashion, and merged to make her feet and horns the same light blue color. The blue glowed softly against her scales and the bright orange flames. She looked down at the Skydancer hatchling with beady, permanently narrowed, bright red eyes.
"What do you think you're doing here, in the midst of the fire?" spoke the Guardian, "It's quite dangerous out here, especially for a hatchling. You may not be affected by the fire, but there are other obstacles you must be wary of, especially with your small body. Come, now, and climb on my back. We'll go to a safe place." she said, backing up and turning around. Her long tail nearly knocked the Skydancer off her feet.
She hesitated, looking back over her shoulder at her home. Where was the 'safe place' that the Guardian dragon had mentioned? The only place she truly considered safe was the house she had been living in, within the village. She couldn't comprehend any other place being safe, where she could run around and still trust the dragons within it.
"Hurry!" snapped the Guardian dragon.
The Skydancer looked back at her, startled. She didn't waste any more time dwelling on her thoughts, and scampered up her tail and onto her back, situated between her wings, and grabbed at the smooth scales. The Guardian began flapping her wings, gradually raising them off the ground. She looked back at the burning village, which was getting smaller and smaller as they flew upwards, and tried to spot her home; but it was no more, and had been taken by the flame.

The Guardian soared with the Skydancer hatchling on her back for quite a while. She, the hatchling, coughed as she inhaled some of the smoke as they were leaving the fire. They flew over forests which she'd never seen before, crossing over some small settlements. The dragons within them turned their heads curiously to watch as the Guardian soared passed, wondering why a small blue and white Skydancer hatchling was rested atop her back. The Skydancer met their gazes with equally curious ones.
Soon they began to descend towards one of the larger settlements, where she could see that crowds of dragons of all shapes and sizes were waiting at the edge, some injured and with burns. They made room for the massive Guardian as she landed.
"Welcome back, Akatoreite." said another female Skydancer, a young, lightly-colored adult, with muted colors and similar runes to Akatoreite, though in a lighter gray-blue. Her slanted, light green eyes turned to the Skydancer hatchling. "I see you only brought one back."
"Y-yes," Akatoreite responded nervously. "My apologies, Lady Tyresia. She was the most available hatchling. I'm sure most of them will be able to be saved. I will head back out to the fire, if that pleases you." she dipped her head to the Skydancer, Lady Tyresia.
The hatchling gazed around the crowd of dragons surrounding their landing spot. Some were speaking among each other, whilst others looked around or at them. Slowly and cautiously, she made her way off of Akatoreite's back and jumped to the ground, her head low.
