-9/20-30/19 - Calder and Nova adventure through the Cloudsong, traveling by night after the former's attempt to see The Twisting Crechendo after its reversal leads to the two becoming briefly stranded along the ice flight's border. Calder notes that Nova makes the flight back over the channel easily in spite of both her breed and the compulsions that come with the Nalrun disease. When prodded, she revealed that she could fly with her eyes closed, and that the trip had not been as easily made as Calder had first assumed. Nonetheless the journey is fairly lighthearted, and Calder gladly meets many dragons and beasts from other clans on the way back to the rest of the troupe.
-10/8/19 - Tyrrel assists Ishdiih in a self-sacrificial ritual to insure that Calder, the latter's unrelated stepchild, inherits Ishdiih's sorcerous talent. Tyrrel's left wing is burned when his spores catch fire during part of the ritual.
-10/30/19 - Inversa warns Glass of smoke ahead. The two spend the night camping alongside Cirque du Phénix, who welcome them at the price of a share of Glass's fresh-caught prey, which he is happy to share, likewise for a tax of their stew and ale. Troupemaster Calder hurries them along two nights later with a translocation spell, placing them miles closer to their destination at a well-traveled landmark, where they soon encounter rot-wreathed revelers.
