doesn't see the light of day much. usually stays in the back of the library, coming out to organize shelves and clean up, trying her best to avoid windows.
at night sometimes she'll go to the markets to pick up anything extra Oolong may need for her tea blends.

the egg arsenic steals away is an interesting one; only child of a pair of bogsneaks that had come to the haven when it was still hidden away in the safety of the clouds. dull in comparison to other eggs, he figures it would wither away if he didn't get to it first. figures he might as well.
keeps it in an incubator, safely tucked away in the back of the lab where even cashmere can't get. uses the dna stolen from a maren or two, and the tonics from a wandering salesdragon to alter it- uses his arcane magic and other terrible things to keep it alive.
he watches diligently, all but shirking his duties as medic. despite his best attmepts he still misses the hatching. he doesn't linger on it long, however, because whatever hatched is alive and moving around pathetically in the incubator. he removes it, taking it immediately over to a clean table to examine it.
wings resemble fins, and there's a distinct webbing between the digits on the feet, but what's really impressive is that instead of the neck and head of a bogsneak, there is, undeniably, incredibly, the upper half of a baby maren.
