Biography
[Name] sighed softly. Though his eyes were fixed on the surrounding trees, his mind was far away. It soared through all the possibilities it could find. Within his mind was a glorious realm; a place where he was free to act and whatever he wanted to be.
A thick paw cuffed him upside the head gently, snapping him back to reality. His eyes focused and he looked up at the older dragon. They were looking at him in that intent way he was all too familiar with.
"Um, what was the question?" He smiled and lowered his head without moving his gaze, crouching sheepishly.
They grit their teeth, "I said, 'Where did you want to gather today?'"
"Oh! Uh," he warily ventured back into the haven of his own mind, trying to find the best place. There were some gorgeous vistas to the east, and his favourite mushroom patch wasn't too far to the south. Those places would distract him though. He grimaced and spoke softly, "The canopy has some of the best vegetation."
They nodded in approval then took off. He followed with much less grace, trying his best to focus. The precarious perches on branches would certainly help with that.
When they had finished, he excused himself. Earlier he had made such a vivid thought, and he was desperate to return to it. Just the thought of it made him warm.
In his mind he travelled far beyond his own borders, off into the realm of another flight. His own was good and all, but in his mind he wasn't limited by location and family ties. They didn't seem to get that, but he didn't mind, not really. Still, so many of his daydreams oriented around a land where he could dream all he wanted.
It was silly though. He didn't want to be a burden or a layabout. Still, there had to be some place for him and his grand thoughts tucked safely in the recesses of his own mind.
