Copaellt didn't consider herself too concerned with her brother's problems, but she still followed him when he asked for her opinion on the eggs. They were strange, for sure, but she didn't think that it really meant "Banescale". He was too worried for her to reason with him, though, so she followed silently and listened to Mephistopheles' and Blueberry's conversation. She had a point. Sitting near the eggs let her hear the humming a little before the other two. She raised an eyebrow up, sniffing it again - but it didn't smell like anything but eggs. Eggs that were on the brink of hatching. Standing up, she interrupted the pair :
"Guys, listen to this !"
A strange humming was emanating from the eggs, and they were starting to crack. The couple drew closer to them, intrigued. It was... a melody they had never heard before. And it seemed incredibly sad and beautiful at the same time. There were no words, maybe because the hatchlings didn't know how to speak yet, but the emotion was there.
Out of the shells came two baby Banescales, singing for the first time of their lives, the song that was sang to them long before they hatched. After they were done, Blueberry picked them up, turning to Mephistopheles.
"Singing ! They were singing !"
There were star in her eyes. Copaellt saw tears gleaming on her brother's face. She shook her head - as moved as she was by the song, and the hatchlings, she thought it was not yet her place to stay here much longer. She gratified each of the hatchlings a lick on the top of their head, between their horns, and said :
"I'll leave you two to your new kids. I'm eager to be the weird aunt."
And with a smile, she left.
