Kort is a private dragon, an introverted courier that works for the clan to deliver mail and packages as needed, as well as retrieving such things from the couriers who work for the Auction House as they usually don't feel safe enough entering the territory. After living in the Scarred Wasteland all his life, Kort once believed he wanted to leave it. He began delivering messages, mainly from his birth clan to other Plague clans with fairly decent reputations, then gradually increased his work load as he grew older, stronger, and more confident. The dream to leave the Wasteland stayed with Kort for a long time, until he first made a delivery out there, stepping foot outside of the Plaguebringer's lands. He first visited the Sea, which held such a vastly different culture than that found in the Plaguelands. He was curious at first, interested in everything, but the longer he looked, the more he realized there was something there that he couldn't find. There was something missing or lacking, something he at first thought would present itself if he was just persistent enough. It took Kort years of traveling for deliveries before he realized what he was looking for didn't exist, at least not outside of the Wasteland. Every time he left the territories, he felt the absence of the culture, the curt, explicit nature of the dragons, the titillating dangers of meeting new Plague dragons and proving--over and over again, in most cases--that he wasn't weak, wasn't going to roll over and let those dragons tear him apart. So yes, Kort doesn't talk much, he doesn't seek the company of other dragons without reason, but he is a Plague dragon, born and bred, and he fights like one. Despite no longer wanting to travel to all corners of the world, Kort continues to work as a courier. It was his own misfortune that led him to stumble across the contagious bite of a rabid dragon, and now he lives with the Haema in their underground caverns. Because of his new photosensitivities, he can no longer travel for long stretches, or must meticulously plan out his journey to ensure he would have places to spend the daylight hours. He mainly makes deliveries only within the Wasteland and has no problems with that any longer.
