Argon

DESCRIPTION: Argon spends most of her time meditating, diving deep within herself to try to unearth the mysteries of her past. She presents herself as a fairly mild mannered dragon, but beneath that facade lies a insatiably wild desire to wreck havoc on the lands of Sornieth- to leave nothing but ashes in her wake. But, she does her best to cull these desires- Argon deeply wishes to be a good-hearted dragon and to be loved by others. Still, she fears that her inner rage will one day consume her.

Perhaps it already had once before.

Who she had been, Argon could not remember. There was a dizzying blackness, a hollow chill deep in the pitch which tore into her like the deep cold of an unlit coal. Then, there was a spark in the dark. Red light coursed through her blackened form and her eyes opened- alight with wild flame.

That awakening was her birthday, or at least that was what she liked to call it. Argon had no memory of the night she was born, or if she had a family at all. She could have been created from dust for all she knew. But it was on that night when the dragon called “Argon” gained her first memories, regardless of whomever had resided in her body before.

Argon knew she was dangerous. Her skin was blistering to the touch, and her primal power seemed insatiably wild. Deep within her core, a feral desire to burn, consume, and destroy the land around her with her untamed flames surged. Every day, she fought the urge to run wild and simply wreck havoc on the world of Sornieth.

But, she knew she could not. There was something else within her, some deep emotion which held her taut. Perhaps it was an echo of whomever she had been before, but she couldn’t be certain of that. But she knew that if she let the monstrous desires within her to overtake her, she would lose that echo forever.
