I was thinking he could have been forcefully become an amalgamate, for the living temple thing.
however, they realized that was dangerous since he had abilities that honestly made him a walking hyper-weapon... city... magical tech... thing...? But in all honesty he was extremely peaceful, and hated to use these abilities, and becoming an amalgamate only made it worst for him
One day, he accidentally amalga starved and unleashed one of the weapons, causing enough destruction for them to go "oh, hecc no, you are not staying out. Making you a temple of Aegrial was a BAD IDEA."
and he was put into this magical coma
