A blind daughter of Tuoni (god of death) and Tuonetar (the underworld queen). Regarded as the goddess of death and disease. With the wind, mothered nine children, the Nine diseases. Some stories say she had a tenth child, a girl.

Loviatar was quite lucky. She had been slated for death when The Sluagh came upon her. This clan of dragons others see as exiles and misfits, they saved her. They gave her a home, a place to belong. It is a large debt that she owes them. A debt she full plans on repaying. It had taken her some time and a lot of contemplating to devise a way she could be of use and so repay the debt she owes. She's quite cunning, however, and came up with an idea that quite amused Mother Rashtlin.
Her purple eyes look up from her notebooks and journals strewn about her desk as a young male Gaoler enters her laboratory. A sweetly wicked smile curves her lips as she looks upon him. "Ah, 55607060, Nightingale, welcome. Welcome." She rises and goes to him. Her inspection is thorough, her notes many. She must note everything about him in his healthy state. "Yes. Godd good."
Going to her cabinet, she pulls out a small vial. The liquid inside is mint colored and glows faintly. Filling her syringe with her delightful little concoction, she returns to her subject. "This may sting just a bit. Nothing to worry over. Nothing at all." She injects the faintly glowing mint liquid into his flank. Setting aside the syringe, she takes up her notebook once more and writes quickly. "Subject 55607060, labeled Nightingale by Mother, has been successfully injected. Subject has been infected with Disease 42 in order to determine how this concoction reacts with Black Death. As recorded in previous entries, Subject 55607060 was infected with Black Death by Bubonic upon hatching. Subject 55607060 will now return to his training while Disease 42 incubates."
