Oreine

She spent months on her own, hunting for herself, avoiding her brother's patrols, and trying to figure out where she was going to go from here. It was cold, dark, and completely unfamiliar. For the first time in her life, she was totally independent. However, for the first time in her life, she was afraid she'd doomed herself to a dangerous and lonely clanless life. It wasn't until an Imperial stumbled upon her ramshackle camp one night that everything changed. "You, Wildlclaw. Who are you?" Hesitant, Arcadia replied. "I am Arcadia. And who are you?" "My name is Oreine. I am Crown Prince of the Silent Tides Clan. ...Don't I know you from somewhere?"

Arcadia nervously watched as the realization hit him. "You're Crown Princess Arcadia. My mother told my brothers and I of your escape. She always told us that was no way to run a clan. Are you in need of a place to go?" Arcadia was stunned at his kindness. She'd never been asked what she wanted or what she needed. For the first time in her life, she felt welcomed. His eyes were warm and gentle, and she nodded. Oreine turned toward the Sea. "You are welcome to stay with us, M'Lady. The Water Flight welcomes you with open arms. Stay as long as you need."

Oreine's promise turned out to be exactly what she'd been hoping for. For the first several months, he checked on her nearly every night. He was at her beck and call, often delaying some of his own responsibilities to see that she was taken care of. His mother, Queen Ailleacht, taught her the ways of the clan. Oreine and his brothers taught her how to maneuver more gracefully and efficiently in the water. Arcadia taught him what she knew of battle strategy, and he was kind and patient with her calloused nature. She was treated like royalty. Her mornings were spent training with Oreine and her evenings were spent dining with his family. Other members of the Silent Tides Clan began to

see her not as an outsider they'd taken in, but rather one of their own. She grew to love the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and though she missed the sunshine and the ruins, she knew that she'd found the place she was destined to call home.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Over time, she started noticing all of the little things Oreine did for her. He would leave pretty shells in her quarters, he'd bring her food when she was pouring over tactical maps and helping Queen Ailleacht and King Laidir plan battle strategies. One day, while she was out leading a patrol, he'd strung up little glowing crystals in her room so it was as bright as it was in her old home.

The pair grew closer and it became evident that there was no one she'd rather spend the rest of her life with. He asked for her to be his mate, and she warmly and happily accepted.Before long, they had a son, Eianthe, who shared his mother's passion for battle and his father's warm and inviting personality. Arcadia had her own family, one she loved and cherished and wouldn't trade for anything in the Sornieth.

Now, she resides as High Princess of Silent Tides, a warrior to be feared and a leader beloved by all.
