The queen watches the ship slowly wash on by, now no longer filled with gold, another fine day for her crew. Soon the cheers of her swashbucklers will fill the air! Now all they have to do is store away the loot.

She opens here eyes, why, why is it so dark in the sky? Power grows under her claws, her wings, inside of her bones, she was made for something great.

She watches the sun rise and set every day, an ever changing game of tag. One day the two are free, she meets the sun, she falls in love. He is nice, he is charming, he is her sun, she is his moon.

She watches the sea lap at her talons. How long has it been? How long has she been free from the night? Can she ever return? Does her want to? What happened to her sun?

A crew, big, loud, a group of first mates, she loves this, this is much better than pulling the moon. Her sun is gone, she sees him in shows, she knows he sees her. She is fine with eternal stars.

OF MOONS AND FROST

____She watches the merchant ship’s crew abandoned their loot, they’re shaking in their boots. Her first mates load up the loot, with the exception of Perch, of course, where is that Skydancer anyway?
“Boss!” Ah, there he is, “We got reports of trouble in the cargo bay!”
Nyx turns to glare at the captain of the ship, “Y’ told me there was only an actor down ‘ere.”
“There is! There is I swear! It’s Helios! It’s the Lightweaver’s Jester!”
Nyx never ran so fast to the cargo deck in her life.

____Nyx stands in the door way, that golden Imperial stands in the center of a small group of her crew’s bodies, chared and ashen.
“Gods, Helios!” Nyx shouted, “Why can’t y’ just leave me and m’ crew alone!”
Helios turned to look at the star freckled Imperial, “I seem to recall it being you who attacked this ship.”
Nyx growled, “Just let m’ crew get the loot! Don’t tell me you finally got yer head on right and care for these ‘ere dragons now!”
“I suppose I haven’t changed,” Helios said, walking over to Nyx, “And neither have you it seems, still caring too much for these dragons, dear? I’ve heard that your crew now has some quite similar to your first crew, you have something to do with that?”
“I, yes, I did, but what does it matter? They are still their own dragons! Still actin’ like themselves! Maybe you should learn to do that too!”
Helios laughed, pushing past Nyx, “Maybe one day, love, it’s too fun to see these mortals gawk.”

THE TRIO

____Smoke, Mirror, and Hoax are the trio whose family has been in Nyx the Silverclaw’s crew for many, many, lifetimes. They distract the ships that Nyx stops through their magic of the Gladekeeper and a few tricks in their claws. Just do keep your gold coins where they can’t see them.

PERCH

____The best navigator this side of Sornieth, he’s not a thief, per say. You’ve never seen him steal anything, have you? So what if his boss’s crew steals from other people, you’ve never seen him on the raiding crew! He’s just watching the waves! Making sure the ship doesn’t crash! Oh? The loot is here?

NYMPH

____The cartographer, best known for that and the fact that she is the supposed reason that the Boss’s crew has a party after every raiding. While she may be most valued for her ability to map out everything to a T even after the slightest of changes, Nymph is one of the Boss’s best raiders. A bit of a flirt though, make sure to keep any impressionable young lady away from Nymph’s gaze. The only dragon allowed to ride ontop of the Boss’s back and shoulders.

DAGGER

____Out of all of Boss’s first mates, Dagger has been by her side the longest. He’s been here since before any of us joined, not that it matters anyhow. He just keeps track of the ship’s storage and mans the canons when a battle is near, nothing too special, except that you go to him first, Boss second. Don’t come talkin’ to him after we lose someone in a raid, though, he’ll either make you cry or he’ll make you want to cry. A nice guy if you get to know him.

Rule One of working with the Boss: Do not ask her about why she never seems to sleep. She is strong and her apparent lack of sleep is only a trick of your mind.

Rule Two of working with the Boss: She cares for us all, we know this, she asks nothing of us but it's customary to give her gems and stones for her hatching day. Moonstones and Silver are her favorite materials, she will be forever grateful if you give them to her.

Rule Three of working with the Boss: Remember that after every raid she holds a party for the crew, you’d be wise to attend, we do not need a worried Boss for the next raid. Unless you are injured, a healer, sick, or helping to store the loot, you are at the party.

Rule Four of working with the Boss: Do not disrespect her. She has served us well and good for many years before us, from her first crew of our mother’s fathers. Gods help anyone who disrespects the Boss, because we sure as ash won’t.
