Raseri

Though a skilled warrior, Raseri was hardly deserving to bear the mantle as the Head of Arms for the Clan of Cyathus. Ruthless and paranoid due to his own insecurities, the brooding Imperial was admired by few. Had it not been for the influence of his mother thanks to her own notable position in the clan, it'd undoubtedly be a title of another.

Falling ill one season; thick, crystalline growths began to sprout along the Imperial's scales. What began as an irritant steadily grew into a hindrance. As his condition began to worsen, the Imperial grew increasingly paranoid and convinced that his state was the work of disgruntled underlings, bitter siblings, envious rivals- or even his children.

So great was his conviction that someone were plotting his undoing, Raseri chose to flee.
Though notorious, Sornieth is vast- and no matter how poor of a reputation one carries, there would always be a place where one could start anew and remain unknown.

Having crashed from exhaustion after days of flying, he was found by Kaja and Aldric while they were returning to the clan. Waiting on the dragon to regain consciousness, they brought him to the clan- where he has remained as both their patient and as a clanmate since.

Having grown up as a venerated warrior, he lived the life of a fine aristocrat, having others dedicated to tending his needs. As such, he can occasionally be demanding and is a bit hapless when it comes to common matters such as scavenging, good bargaining, or cooking. Though he may not say it openly, he’s exceedingly grateful for the simple lessons Aldric and Kaja have imparted upon him, like tea brewing.

The second-oldest in Cea’s lair and a battle-worn member of the Plague flight, the others tend to keep their distance from him. Though he cannot say he particularly minds. He often eats his meals last so that he can dine in peace. Having growing up in regimented, serious setting, he can find the antics of his fellow clan mates mildly irritating. Nonetheless, he knows how to be cordial and will provided his guidance if sought out.

As the months passed, Raseri’s pain began to subside and some of the thick, gem-like growths began to fall off and cease spreading. Though the infection is tamed more-so than cured. Sensitive to light and sounds, in addition to persistent fatigue, Raseri tends to lurk in the furthest depths of the lair, far from the bustle of the clan.

Update: '22

- Raseri is now the clan librarian? It's a job that's not taxing on his limitations. It's quiet. He gets to be inside and entertain himself with books. Library seldom gets visitors which is A-OK with him, but it does sometimes feel isolating.

- Serthis companion helps out. Brings him meals.
