A single egg. Wicca regarded it with some thought. The changing of the seasons seemed to be a poor omen for her, her emotions in as much flux as the weather and her nests near to empty. This one though, would not suffer any for it - it was near to hatching, and was such a lovely color. She tapped her claws along the shell, purring at the shifting she felt within. She'd do well by this one. She could give all her attention to him, so perhaps small nests were not such a poor omen as she first thought.

Starling was from the beginning the darling of both of his parents. Growing up without siblings, he is most comfortable in solitude with his own thoughts and the world around him within his own control. While he has no particular gift for magic, he excels at it all the same - preferring the precise practices of alchemy to more loose forms of magic. He keeps to his own devices, generally foraging for himself and appearing in public only to trade for whatever he needs that he can't make himself.
