Lady is the time of year when freezing meltwater fills the rivers, slush piles up on sidewalks and under trees, and the final frost is still far away. Her domain contains no honeybees, precious few flowers, and the only chirping songbirds are the ones that have been around all winter. But don’t mistake her for winter- where she walks, icicles drip, buds swell on trees, and night crawlers begin to work their way up to the still-frozen ground.

Unlike most gods, including the Eleven and Mistmaker, the other local deity, Lady spends her time among the dragons of her domain. Her divinity is an open secret. The folk she lives with know who and what she is, but they treat her with respect, not reverence, and make no mention of her nature.

No one knows what she gets from this, and no one is brave enough to ask. If a goddess decides she'd like to spend her time chopping wood and discussing the weather, then that's her own business... and truthfully? The mountain passes haven't filled with snow or the rivers froze to their bottoms since Lady came to stay. There's a lot people will ignore for the promise of more mild winters.
