Sol the Scribe
I. Sol and her cousin Amarantha grew up in a clan together. When they were young, they learned about the Moonlit Waves and from the stories, knew that was where they wanted to live. Once they were adults, they left their home in the Snowsquall Tundra and journeyed all the way to the Sea of a Thousand Currents. At the time, Morrigan was still the Empress and she demanded for the two Ice dragons to be sent away. However, Aislinn argued for them, stating that it wouldn't hurt them for to have two new scribes. Despite her initial hesitance, Morrigan apprenticed them to the scribe Aldric.

Sol was very much annoyed by Aldric's overbearing, perfectionist attidude but came to understand that he only wanted them to do the best they could. As outsiders, it would be harder for them to gain any sort of respect in the clan. When she was far enough along in her studies, Sol was assigned to Katsuki, Aislinn's niece after they had an odd meeting while speaking to a Maren clan. The Pearlcatcher and Wildclaw became very good friends, and due to their natural resonance Ren was perfectly okay with them being partners.

II. A few years later, a young Skydancer named Skoll came to the clan with a message from an Earth clan. As with most of his deliveries, he was to stay with the Waves for a few days. During his time exploring the different parts of the Empire—as per the usual—he came upon Sol while she was singing a song, one her mother taught her. His curiosity getting the better of him, Skoll approached the Wildclaw tentatively, eager to get to know her. A singer himself, Skoll had never heard her song and wanted to hear it. Ever the king young dragoness, Sol accepted his request and sang it again, teaching him slowly but surely.

It didn't take long for them to fall in love.

Despite Skoll believing he wasn't worthy to be a family dragon, Sol reassured him. It didn't matter that his parents didn't like him as a Coatl and made him a Skydancer. It didn't matter if they decided to exalt him. That was all in the past. The future was the fact that she loved him no matter what.

III. So they built a bond together and planned their marriage. Eventually, they finally managed to conceive a clutch of four eggs. They eventually hatched into four beautiful dragons: Akimak, Sviurr, Karnelius and Jora. Sol loved her children. It was easy to raise her sons, but much harder for the young Jora who seemed to want to create trouble everywhere she went.

When her oldest and third son were out on a patrol one day, they were captured by the Clan of Kaskaden. Sol was extremely distraught, wanting her sons returned to her immediately. She almost took on the entire Clan of Kaskaden by herself, truly proving that there is nothing more fearsome than a protective mother. Many dragons like to joke that it was Sol's ferocity itself that cowed both clans into a peace treaty.

Though her sons were now safe, neither wished to return to the Empire. They saw good they could do in Kaskaden, and wanted to pursue it. Upset, Sol eventually came to accept their decision. She knew this was something they had convinced themselves to do, and was very proud of their decision.

Sol was very surprised when it came to light than Sviurr had fallen hopelessly in love with Opal. On the other side of things, she was a little distraught when Jora went off and had hatchlings with Ualan, practically the first drake she'd met and before they'd even been promised! The gall! But despite this, Sol loves her granddaughter Aemilia very much. And she awaits for grandhatchlings from Sviurr as well.
