Biography
Among the soldier camps and general’s quarters, the name “Spartos” was a common one. Renowned for strategic prowess and military might, the Imperial was regarded as a war hero in the clashes between the forces of the Flamecaller and the Tidelord. His position put him in direct competition with the Tidelord’s captain, Athenos, who was his equal and his adversary. That is, until a particular battle, drawn out and bloody, left both sides scattered and defeated. The Flamecaller, dissatisfied with this failure, exiled Spartos into the wilds without honor.
His life was built around the war efforts. Who was he, Spartos, if not a playing piece in the art of battle? He wandered, aimlessly, searching for purpose, then searching for kindness, then searching for death. Withered and broken, Spartos had abandoned all hope. Until a particular Clan found him half-starved in a cave and asked him to train their guards.
And in some horrid, dramatic irony, who would he be working alongside but his lifelong rival? Seeing the blue Imperial nearly caused him to leave out of pure anger, but something inside him told him that he needed to stay, for his own good. It took a long time, many months of slow trust, but Spartos has learned to work with Athenos, and perhaps even call him a friend, as well as controlling his short temper.
Training the hatchlings is much fun for him, too, though he’ll never admit it.
